Intermodal Track Construction
REMCAN was contracted by Canadian Pacific Rail (CPR) to help build out 60,000 feet of new track construction for their new Intermodal Facility in Regina, Saskatchewan. Intermodal facilities are an integral part of the Canadian economy, helping transport both international and domestic products including consumer products and agriculture.
This facility is strategically located between Regina and Moose Jaw, adjacent to CPRs mainline. New track was laid to help increase capacity and improve service reliability for intermodal customers. REMCAN was responsible for all track construction, and the project took approximately 2 months to complete. The facility opened on time and the track came in on budget, passing all safety and transport inspections without issue.
